To absolutely insure a 100% random selection process that every Pool participant can view, we are again going to assign the team numbers using the results of various State Lotteries. Numbers will be assigned on Tuesday, January 29th based on the results from Monday, January 28th. You can view the  Lottery results by going to http://www.usatoday.com/news/lottery/lotto_results.htm on  Tuesday, January 29th.

We will assign numbers using results for the date selected from the States and games that are listed in the following table:

Beginning with the AFC Champions and going from top to bottom on the grid, we will assign numbers from the winning Lottery numbers using the above table beginning with the Arizona Pick 3 game. Using the USA Today results from the pre-determined day, we will begin to assign numbers to the grid, beginning with the first (top) AFC number.  Duplicate winning lottery numbers are ignored, since we cannot duplicate numbers on the grid. After completing the Arizona Pick 3 numbers, we then advance to California Daily 3 numbers etc. The same overall process will be used until all 10 numbers (0-9) have been assigned to the AFC Champions. When that happens, we will immediately switch to the NFC Champions and continue. Going from left to right on the grid, we will assign the next number in sequence to the first (left) NFC number on the grid. We will continue to assign numbers until all 10 numbers have been assigned to the NFC Champions.
