The Chicago Cubs squad ripped Milwaukee pitching for a total of 8 runs. Dick Drott(9-15), with relief help from Jim Brosnan, shutout Milwaukee. Drott put on a good performance. He gave up just 7 hits and 4 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings. Chicago finished with 15 hits while Milwaukee ended up with 7. Bob Trowbridge(6-4) was hit with the loss. He allowed 11 hits and 2 walks in 7 innings.
