New York was unable to claim the lead after Chicago went ahead in the bottom of the 7th inning scoring a single run using 2 hits. Chicago finished with 11 hits in the victory. Rush(11-15) was the winner allowing 1 run for the game. Ray Crone(9-12) took the loss. 'Rush was the man today,' Bob Scheffing said. 'He had just about every pitch working.' The game was won by Milwaukee with a run in the bottom of the 9th inning. After an out was recorded, Wes Covington tripled. Del Crandall was next and he lashed a single giving Milwaukee the victory as 42,161 happy fans celebrated wildly. Milwaukee had a total of 11 hits for the game. Spahn(19-10) finished the game allowing 3 runs in the victory. Seth Morehead(4-5) was hit with the loss in relief. He surrendered 1 run and 3 hits in 1 and 1/3 innings. PITTSBURGH AT ST.
