Drabowsky(12-6) contributed a very nicely pitched game. He allowed only 6 hits and 4 walks in 9 innings. Chicago finished with 9 hits in the victory. Curt Simmons(9-12) suffered the loss. He allowed 7 hits and 3 walks in 7 and 1/3 innings. Don Elston recorded the save, his 2nd. 'I always am most impressed when a pitcher finds a way to win even without his best stuff,' Bob Scheffing said after the game. 'Brosnan did not have command of his pitches most of the afternoon, but he proved he really knew how to pitch!' Vern Law(7-9) took the loss. He gave up 4 runs and 6 hits in 7 innings. ST.
