Conley(8-4) gave Milwaukee a solid outing. He allowed just 5 hits and 3 walks in 9 innings improving his ERA from 3.09 to 2.77. Milwaukee finished with 12 hits in the victory. The losing pitcher was Sam Jones(11-6). This win by Milwaukee continues their recent hot streak. In their last ten games, they have a record of 9-1. For the season, they are a league leading 68-42. Brooklyn made it exciting in the 9th, but they were unable to push the needed runs across. Douglas got help from Roy Face who earned his 6th save. Don Newcombe(12-7) took the loss.
