Jim Davis(3-1) pitched in relief and was credited with the victory. He was reached for 2 hits and 1 walk in 2 and 1/3 innings lowering his ERA to 4.67. The teams had been locked in a scoreless duel until the 6th inning. Al Worthington earned his 2nd save. Don Elston(1-5) was charged with the loss. He pitched 6 and 2/3 innings giving up 5 hits and 2 walks. ST. Mizell(4-5) was the winner allowing 2 runs for the game. Jack Sanford(7-9) was hit with the loss. He was knocked around by St. Louis, allowing 10 hits and 4 walks in 7 and 2/3 innings. Trowbridge(2-3) looked very much in control throughout the night. He didn't give up much, just 6 hits and 2 walks in 9 innings improving his ERA from 3.71 to 3.30. Milwaukee totaled 10 on the night. Don Drysdale(9-4) took the loss. Trowbridge was humble when questioned about his performance, 'Well, I felt pretty confident in my pitches tonight. But, I had great support behind me and I just threw what was called. That was an extremely well called game!'
