Chicago erupted with the game winning runs in the 8th inning scoring 2 runs using 4 hits. Jim Bolger led off and started the rally when he slapped a one-base hit. Cal Neeman was next and he doubled. Dale Long then delivered a single scoring a run. After an out was recorded, Morgan came to the plate and doubled scoring the final run of the inning. Cincinnati had a chance in the 9th but they came up short. Jim Brosnan(2-1) got credit for the victory, pitching 1 inning and allowing no runs. Brosnan got help from Dick Littlefield who was credited with his 2nd save. Art Fowler(2-2) took the loss in relief. MILWAUKEE AT ST.
