Cincinnati took the lead for keeps in the bottom of the 2nd inning scoring a single run. Cincinnati managed 11 in their victory. Lawrence(7-4) lasted until the end allowing 3 runs for the win. Ray Crone(4-5) absorbed the loss. He allowed 11 hits and 4 walks in 8 innings.
