Trowbridge had a strong outing. He surrendered only 7 hits and 2 walks in 8 and 2/3 innings improving his ERA from 4.80 to 3.04. Pittsburgh had a chance to come back in the 9th but they came up short. Ernie Johnson was credited with his 6th save. Milwaukee now has a record of 33-23. Still in a bad slump, with this loss, Pittsburgh is 2-8 lately and 23-34 on the year.
